Gilligan is 15. He’s into epistolary novels and psychoanalysis. His Mum has died, and in an effort to connect with a son he doesn’t understand, his Dad has taken him on a crummy beachside holiday. All Gill wants is some peace and quiet, but he gets more than he bargained for when he meets a Mermaid named Rose.
